Welcome to Cub Scout Pack 369!

Special thanks to our sponsor, Visitation BVM Parish.
The purpose of the Boy Scouts of America, incorporated on February 8, 1910, and chartered by Congress in 1916, is to provide an educational program for boys and young adults to build character, to train in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and to develop personal fitness.  Cub Scouts is a year-round family and home centered program that encourages ethical decision-making skills and development of skills that will enable the Cub Scout to move on to Boy Scouts.

Webelos Only - Klondike Derby & Camping Trip With TROOP 369

Posted on Jan 12 2017 - 4:01pm

Attention all Webelos!

On January 20-22 come join Troop 369

The Klondike  Derby is an event where dozens of troops compete using scout skill to accumulate gold nuggets.  The troop with the most nuggets is the winner.  Stations vary from year to year but last years were as follows:

1. Beaver Trap - Assemble a pole with a beaver trap attached to catch a wooden beaver.

2. Atlatl - Using an ancient weapon to propel a spear for distance and accuracy.

3. First Aid - working through various first aid scenarios

4. Nature - identifying different plants and animals

5. Fire building - Construct a cooking fire and fires for warmth, build a fire that can reach the third rope

6. Shelter Building and knots - A new station

7. Tomahawks - we will need some practice here, i have the hawks but we have no target.

8. Pioneering - in previous years we have built tripods and catapults

9. Search and Rescue - A new station

10. Patrol Puzzles - Troop 369 is responsible to staff this station.

This is an appropriate trip for Webelos but they will not be able to tent camp.  They can stay in the cabin with most of the troop.

Contact Steve Campanella for more information! (scouts@dmcomputing.com)

East Norriton Holiday Parade (12/3)

Posted on Nov 28 2016 - 8:43am
This Saturday (12/3) is the East Norriton Holiday Parade.  Our Pack meets at the East Norriton Middle School Parking Lot at 10:15 - 10:30 AM and we march along the parade route which ends at the Hillcrest Plaza Shopping Center.  Scouts get to take turns carrying our banner, our flags, as well as hand out candy to kids along the parade route!  This is usually a big hit with the scouts who getting to march in a Parade and hand out candy.   Scouts should wear their uniform on the outside if possible (Long John’s and warm clothes under if possible.  If it is too cold for that wear winter clothes on top and remember hats, scarves and gloves.)  We also recommend families drop scouts and an adult off at the East Norriton Middle School and that the rest of the family find a great spot along the parade route!   If you cannot make the parade, please let Jim Imgrund know so we can get a headcount on who is coming!  See you there!

My Thanks especially to Christine Dantonio (For overseeing everything) & Sharon Imgrund (For delivering our Food Baskets to the rectory)!
